What is Ombré Powder?

Ombré Powder brows (100% Shading) – Ombré Powder is a permanent make-up procedure that produces a soft, misty, powder filled brow similar to the look of makeup. This procedure involves a manual process of inserting pigment into the upper layers of the skin. The tails of Ombré Powder brows are darker and fades into a light start in the front. The key to Ombré Powder brows is the soft, misty front of the brow which gives it such a subtle look. The effects will be smudge-proof, sweat-proof, and waterproof and, most importantly, realistic. Overtime, pigment fades leaving the skin and natural brow hairs behind.

What is Microshading?

Microshading is Ombré Powder brows but with added microbladed hair strokes in the front. The hair strokes are created using the microblading technique which is creating individual hairs using a microblading manual disposable tool.

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a manual semi-permanent makeup procedure with 100% Hair Strokes. This procedure is suitable for anyone that want to enhance definition, reshape or cover gaps dues to lost hair on their eyebrows. This advanced fast growing technique is performed using a manual disposable tool and high-quality pigments. The procedure makes it look like you grew more eyebrows overnight. This is not recommended for an individual with oily skin. Ombré Powder brows or Microshading will be the best option.

Which method is the most natural?

Microblading is the most natural. However, it all depends on individual preference.

Does it hurt?

The first few minutes hurt because we outline without numbing but the pain is very minimal to mild. We use a topical anaesthetic, therefore, pain is minimized.

Do I need a touch up?

Yes! Every new set of brows requires two sessions to achieve the desired results. After only one session, patchiness can be expected.

What can I do to prepare for the appointment?

AVOID 5 DAYS PRIOR TO PROCEDURE:
• Waxing
• Threading
• Tweezing
• Other face treatment you skin is sensitive too

AVOID 24 HOURS PRIOR TO PROCEDURE:
• Alcohol
• Caffeine
• Coffee
• Ibuprofen
• Aspirin
• Retin A skincare products
• Fish oil supplements
• Other blood thinners
• Any questions in regards to health condition please consult you doctor before booking.

These substances thin out the blood and heighten senses causing scarring and make the procedure more painful.

Do I need to groom my brows before the appointment?

Not necessary! Any hairs outside of the frame is removed after the shape has established.

Should I come in with or without makeup?

Either one is fine. If there is a specific shape and colour you will like the artist to see come in with the desired brow shape. If not, come in without makeup because the brow area will be wiped and clean prior to the procedure.

How long should I wait to get a touch up?

At least 6 weeks after the 1st session.

After the first touch up, how often should I come in?

An annual touch up is recommended.

Who is not eligible for the procedure?

DON’T BOOK APPOINTMENT IF YOU ARE/HAVE:

• Under the age of 18
• Pregnant or nursing
• Taking blood thinning medications
• Infections
• Diseases
• Diabetic
• Hepatitis
• HIV/AIDS
• Eczema
• Psoriasis, or Dermatitis
• Epilepsy
• Bleeding disorders
• Collagen Vascular Disease
• Undergoing chemotherapy or received chemotherapy or radiation therapy in the last 3 months
• Open wounds (near the area procedure will be done)
• Skin irritations (near the area procedure will be done)
• Accutane or other strong retinoids (must wait until 6 months after treatment ends)
• Recent cosmetic surgery on face, Botox or other injectables near the area procedure will be done (must wait 1 month)
• Sunburned near the area procedure will be done
• Recent chemical peels (must wait 1 month)
• History of herpes/cold sores (must get a prescription anti-viral from physician and start taking at least 5 days prior to your appointment)
• Warts (near the area procedure will be done)
• Rosacea (near the area procedure will be done)
• Hemophilia/bleeding disorders
• Prone to Keloid/hypertrophic scarring

What to expect?

Brows will darken in the next few days, brows will begin to crack and scab, brows will appear to light and light patchy, then the colour will begin to settle and come back and healed results will be slightly lighter than the colour immediately after the procedure.

What will my brows look like?

Results will vary! Factors that contribute to varying results include skin type, brow bone, pores, amount of brow hair, amount of brow baldness and thickness of the brow hair.
